The largest conference in this part of Europe dedicated to databases, Big Data, BI, and modern data analytics.
🗓 Workshops: May 11, 2026
🎤 Conference: May 12–13, 2026
📍 Location: Centennial Hall, Wrocław
💻 Format: onsite + online
SQLDay is one of the most important events for data professionals. The conference combines technical knowledge, practical case studies, and opportunities to meet experts in databases, analytics, cloud technologies, and modern data platforms.
It’s a great opportunity to expand your skills, explore the latest technology trends, and build valuable connections within the data community.
The event is aimed at database administrators, SQL developers, data engineers, analysts, data architects, BI specialists, and anyone working with modern data solutions.
Whether you’re interested in performance, data integration, cloud platforms, or reporting — you’ll find topics tailored to real-world challenges.
🎉 You’re warmly invited!
Come over to our usual place and join us for a meetup where serious data engineering topics are discussed with a straight face… and a slight grin. Artem Sokhin will bravely venture into the jungle of data‑centric Zero Trust, asking uncomfortable questions like “what do these controls actually do?” and “are we secure, or just hopeful?”. Then Michal Bojko will tackle everyone’s favorite productivity killer: alert fatigue — because nothing says “fun evening” like being paged 47 times for nothing. Expect practical insights, relatable pain, and solutions that won’t require meditation retreats (although they might help).
If you’re into building better, smarter, and more resilient data systems, this is the event to be at — so sign up, come by, and spend a great evening with the community! 🎉
Agenda
Artem Sokhin, Senior Full-Stack Engineer – “Zero Trust for Data: What Do We Actually Have Today?”
Michal Bojko, Dynatrace R&D Director – “Alert Fatigue”

18:15 – 19:15 Krzysztof Kąkol – Revolutionizing application modernization with AI
The presentation will explore practical aspects of using generative artificial intelligence to accelerate application and code modernization. Real-world project case studies will illustrate the use of GenAI for tasks such as code explanation, automated refactoring, legacy system migration, and architecture optimization – significantly reducing development time and costs. The session will also cover encountered challenges, as well as best practices and future trends in AI-supported modernization.
19:15 – 19:25 Q&A
19:25 – 19:35 Break
19:35 – 20:35 Arkadiusz Zdanowski – Triangles, Ducks, and Icebergs: a Review of Data Lakehouse Technologies for 2026
The presentation analyzes the landscape of Lakehouse technologies from a 2026 perspective. It provides an in-depth comparison of table formats (including Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, and DuckLake), focusing on differences in metadata management, transactional capabilities, and schema evolution. The session also covers architectural concepts such as Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and the Modern Data Warehouse, clearly distinguishing market trends from real-world business applications. The presentation focuses on key trade-offs and decision-making criteria, grounded in experience from real production deployments. It helps assess when a given architecture truly makes sense and when it is merely an expensive buzzword, offering a comprehensive, vendor-neutral view of the evolution of data technologies—free from marketing hype.
