Mając nadzieję, że jesteście wypoczęci po wakacjach (nawet jeśli ktoś z Was nie był na urlopie, to przecież odpoczął od spotkań naszego skromnego kolektywu), przygotowaliśmy dla Was trochę inne wypełnione w całości spotkanie techniczne. Część z sysmpatyków PLSSUG będzie świeżo po ciekawych i z pewnością bardzo dobrych sesjach, jakie wydarzą się na Microsoft Technology Summit w Warszawie.
Ale to spotkanie we Wrocławiu wcale nie będzie gorsze od tamtej konferencji. Tematem przewodnim spotkania, będzie znany niektórym z was kombajn dla administratorów serwera SQL (nie tylko produkowanego w Redmond, ale i w Redwood) pochodzący z Północnej Karoliny. Abstract: In this presentation Scott Fallen, Sales Engineer at SQL Sentry will provide attendees with an overview of the features and capabilities of SQL Sentry Power Suite. We will look at how Performance Advisor and Event Manager allow users to quickly diagnose and resolve issues on their SQL Server instances. We will also cover topics such as alerting, scheduled event management, and performance tuning using the SQL Sentry tools.
Title: SQL Statement Tuning with Query Optimizer Strategies
Abstract: The SQL Server query optimizer is the single most important technology within the query processing engine. It decides exactly how any given SQL statement is executed. If you want to write fast SQL statements with the least amount of contention on other sessions, you need to have a good understanding of how the query optimizer works. This session teaches you how the query engine works using a broad variety of examples that are examined in great detail.
Ponieważ sesje naszych prelegentów (drugiego ogłosimy niebawem) będa się odbywały za pomocą łączy dalekiego zasięgu, bardzo waznym jest zachowanie punktualności na tym spotkaniu, czego oczywiście będziemy pilnować. Sesje – mimo że online – będą dostępne tylko na spotkaniu, więc trzeba w nim uczestniczyć osobiście. Zakładamy jednak dużą interaktywność uczestników i oczywiście prowadzących.
